Egypt+ Privacy Policy

Egypt+ (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Account information (email address, name) when you sign up or sign in with Apple or Google.
Location data to verify you are physically present at a historical site before checking in. Location is only accessed while the app is in use.
Usage data such as sites visited, badges earned, and quests completed, stored to power your profile and leaderboard ranking.
Device information and crash reports collected by Sentry to help us fix bugs.
Anonymous analytics events collected by PostHog to understand how features are used. No personally identifiable information is sent to PostHog.

How We Use Your Information

To provide core app features: check-ins, quests, badges, leaderboard, and bingo.
To authenticate your account securely via Supabase.
To process in-app purchases through RevenueCat.
To improve the app using aggregated, anonymous analytics.
To occasionally contact you by email to request product feedback or share important updates about the app.
We do not sell your data to third parties.

Location Data

Egypt+ requests location access only while the app is open (“when in use”) to verify proximity to historical attractions. We do not track your location in the background. Location coordinates are used momentarily for check-in distance calculation and are not stored on our servers.

In-App Purchases

Subscription payments are processed by Apple (App Store). RevenueCat manages entitlements. We do not store your payment card information.

Data Retention

Your account and associated data are retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. You may also contact us at tamerosman3@gmail.com for assistance.

Children

Egypt+ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
